Marta Gonzales suffers the burden of grief and guilt a decade after the murder of her twenty one year old daughter. Marta's yearly trip to the cemetery, takes a dark turn, when weighed down by dispair, she contemplates ending her own life in the swift rapids of the river near the cemetery. Her attempt is interrupted by an unassuming bull rider with bare feet, named Jesse, passing through the terrain near the cemetary on a fishing trip. Jesse, through his annoying, but, pointed questions to Marta about her daughter's death, leads Marta to a new hope and peace with her life and leaves the audience wondering if Jesse is truly real or a spiritual appariton, sent to save Marta from her crisis of the soul.

The Bare Foot Bull Rider
We are honored to be included in the Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival and thank the wonderful people at the BCIFF for the opportunity and all their wonderful help and information.
We hope you will take some of your valuable time to view our short film. Performances by our two lead actors alone are worth the price of admission. Ric Maddox who portrays Jesse, the bare foot bull rider is an experienced actor with feature roles in the 2004 film, "The Alamo," and the 2008 feature film, "Stop Loss." Sandy Crista who portrays, Marta is in her own right a writer/director with her short film, "Billy Mean Pipes," has appeared in television episodes of "Walker, Texas Ranger.
We are also grateful to One Little Indian Records - USA and Deadman for giving us permission to include their beautiful song, "When The Music's Not Forgotten," featured over the ending credits of our film. This song is available for download on iTunes.
Thanks be to God for bringing together the many talented, professional people in our cast and crew to create this labor of love and for giving us the opportunity to spread His message of love and hope.
