Reverend James loves his idyllic country parish, but times are a-changing and with numbers declining and the diocese breathing down his neck threatening closure of his beloved church, the usually stoic Reverend is under pressure. When 'Pastor Bob,' a new progressive minister moves into the old church across the road, he immediately makes waves within the small community with his 'unorthodox' brand of worship and soon the Reverends congregation numbers dwindle even further. Not only is the new Pastor pilfering parishioners but also seems intent on taking sly digs at the Reverend James via his church notice board parables.Deciding his only option is to fight fire with fire, the Reverend starts employing the same methods in an attempt to revive his troubled parish. But this approach only inflames the situation.Locked in a subtle warfare of biblical parables and retaliation..the atmosphere spirals out of control in retribution and underhanded tactics to win the hearts and minds of the vulnerable community. Will it take a miracle to save his church?
