Me and My Old Man is a weekly half-hour comedy that marries two great comedies of all times ('Odd Couple' and 'Sanford and Son') mixing a variety of comedic timing along with real life situations. Like its predecessors, it is a nonstop inspiration of laughter. Simple in the conception, Me and My Old Man mixes two different age genders under one roof.Kevin Rawlins 22, a product of a separation in the making and inspiring entrepreneur feels he's an asset to anything he comes in contact with from entertainment to pulling teeth he thinks he has it mastered. After finishing his internship as a broadcast journalist for a local radio station in Atlanta and a recent graduate from Clark A&T University in Atlanta he now faces the challenge of a lifetime. After reading about a possible job on the west coast he packs his bags and tells his dad he's on his way. After facing the idea that he would have a harder time achieving his goal he is forced to ask his dad the big question. "Can I stay a little longer?" The problem is Kevin's father Smithy Rawlins, late 40's, a frugal man "nothing good comes easy," he often says, is all but a comprehensible sociopath who lives life to all ends. He is stuck in a time warp with pictures of Janet Jackson, and an old school radio that plays 8 tracks is all he has to rely on, It'ss what got him through the tough times. Along with a constant visit from his brother Black, 30's who is complete follower, a southern man with a big heart that's down for what ever is clever, constantly reminds Smithy that he is glad he came from his daddy's side of the family. Johnny Jr., 30's, an eccentric an very nasal complainer, is a retired car salesman that has never closed a deal, who now deals in selling "As Seen On TV Products" door to door something that the Rawlins house is littered with, but he never looses the idea that he will be a great salesman again one day. Glenda Davis late 20's, their sexy and unexplained next door neighbor is all but keeping a secret from the boys although her skills at the game table keep her invitation open, she often show the guys up. They never limit their conversation, based on the fact that she is a woman. The resident Handy Man and housekeeper Jesus (hey`-sus`), 30's who understands some English but only speaks Spanish is often in the residents repairing or fixing something that is out of order. Flidoria Brookins, 50's, the resident Landlord along with her lovely assistant Eva Brookins, 20's, are always coming over to raise the rent and lay down the laws in the Rawlin's house.This always creates a problem in the Rawlins resident.
